Don’t question it. Just listen.
See, I wasn’t going to reblog this because I just reblogged a new Lady Gaga song… but hey, what can you do.

Yeasayer, playing at Ithaca College on May 7th.
And I was there. A splendid time was had by all.
Also, Mad Mad and the Antlers opened. Sweet.

I don’t know if I already reblogged this from someone else, but I’m reposting it because it is JUST. THAT. EPIC.
And someone has way too much time on their hands.

FLAVOR OF THE DAY: Okie Dokie by Dan Deacon
Okay, so if you’re not an electronic/techno/dance/robot fan, chances are you probably don’t listen to this on an average day. But today is Friday, and chances are you’re done with work or school or hobo activities. It’s time to club, and at the club, you’re bound to hear something like this.
Also, this would be a good time to shamelessly plug my new Tumblr, FLAVOR OF THE DAY! Every day means a different flavor of music, whether it’s Freaky Friday or Hip Hop Hump Day, the Tuesday Buzz or Thursday’s Fresh Pickings.
This isn’t just your average “research Pitchfork and reblog” music site. It’s something cool. (And yes, I am just this bored.)
Should start updating Monday. For now, enjoy the bleary intro post!

ANOTHER TIME TO BE PROMOTING MUZAK, NO?
This is another one I heard at the WICB studios.
Ladyhawke — Back Of The Van
Off her 2008 self-titled album. I didn’t even know that they made songs like this anymore. Eighties, eighties, eighties. I love it to the tenth and a halfth degree.

I don’t always do this, but I am going to PROMOTE MUSAK!
Zoos Of Berlin — Black In The Sun Room
Off their new album “Taxis”.
Heard this while in the WICB studio. Holy mother of balls, listen to that horn echo. And that tantalizing beat. And the relentless 4/4 rhythm. And the smooth vocals. It’s like listening to rock music while high, but without the help of substance. Brilliant. Brilliant.

List of Really Annoying Stufff (as posted by Kylie)
- Going through the drive thru, then having to go back when they screw your order up.
- Airline speak (like: “The lavatories ARE equipped with smoke detectors, so DO refrain…”)
People who give their kids weird names.- Celebrities claiming to be environmentalists.
- When people are using arm rests on both sides of you.
- People who buy animals, only to get rid of them a week later because it was harder to take care of them than they thought.
- Unsolicited advice.
- People who say the time like “Eight AM in the morning”.
- Roadmaps that aren’t folded correctly.
- People who refuse to expand their musical horizons.
Forget everything besides the last one. THAT is what bothers me most.
Like, I’ve listened to screamo and country. I know now that I dislike them to the fullest extent, but at least I’ve LISTENED to them. Meanwhile, my friend won’t even TRY to listen to The Beatles. What?… I mean… really.
BTW Kylie, sorry my blog’s just stealing all of your stuff.

Music Video #4: Again And Again
They don’t make music videos like they used to. This is epic. And must have caused a very exhausted Mac Pro.
