For the blog where I get all philosophical and stuff, go here: Socrates' Closet

Hi there.

My name is William Sisskind, and I am a poor college student.

This is a catch-all of the random thinkings and ponderments that I have over the course of the day. There are many. A hojillion, if you will.

I am an expert at many types of cheeses, I remodel old computers to make humans their dirty slaves, and I enjoy sipping monkey picked tea whilst watching the execution of wanted criminals.

I also do this webshow: You should check it out. Sorry, scratch that. You must check it out. Pigeons will peck out your eyes at my command if you don't.

No, I will not date you.

  1. Hey guys, hope you like the new template.

Also, to the higher-ups at Tumblr (Michael, Topher, anyone):

    - Make it so people can reply to non-default Tumblr pages. (Right now all people can do is comment, and that’s not nearly as fun.)

    - Make it so that people can see followers of this blog, because right now they can’t.

    - Make it so that I can make this my default Tumblr page.

Please. I will give you my non-existent Tumblarity.

    ~Will

Cat, what are you doing in there? You are not a bra, you don’t even give support.

Something which is sooo hot but sooo cute at the same time.
CATBRA FTW!

This is probably the greatest sandwich ever invented. It’s called the 3-Alarm Pepper Grilled Cheese and it’s at Thanks a Latte, the coffeeshop where I work. And holy crap it’s amazing. And I’m not just saying that because I work here. I’m saying that because it’s amazing.

It’s a marbled sharp and mild cheddar cheese studded with spicy bits of pepper, melted in between two pieces of italian bread on a panini press, and I seriously can’t get enough. I would post a picture, but it’s all gone. =[

Too bad Jen pulled it off the menu, unless she put it back on. IS IT BACK ON THE MENU!?!?!?!?!

She never took it off. She ALMOST did, but decided against it. And I am SO glad.

    DISAGREE. DIS-A-GREE.

The French Connection was, back in the day, the BEST FRICKIN SANDWICH. Buttery croissant. Brie cheese. Pear spead. Optional spinach. Panini pressed and served with lightly salted crackers.

NGL, I would pay DOUBLE PRICE to see that sandwich on the menu again.

  6. And Obama just got my vote for the next election

    And I concur.

  8. Best Spring Break Ever + Final Fantasy Observations

Okay. Two things in today’s topic.

    ONE: Best. Spring. Break. Ever.
This weekend I hung out with my family from all over the place for Passover. I worked on Saturday night and Robert + friends came to visit. Sunday I went to Art’s and played Guitar Hero and Dead Rising, and then had dinner with the family, and then went to Bonnie’s for Wii games and Passover cake.

    Coming up:
Monday (today), Danny’s house for a crazy guys’ night. Tomorrow, Carousel and hang out with the family. Wednesday and Thursday are work days and/or an Improv day (I’m guessing, since I surely don’t want to go to New York rusty) and then Friday through Sunday is NEW YORK IMPROV TRIP. Then Monday, school. And it’s the fourth quarter of senior year. And then Showboat. And then AP. And then graduation. Oh. Um… Oh wow. Shoot. Time flies.

    Anyhow…
TWO: If you’ve ever played Final Fantasy, you know that the games that are actually numbered (you know, the not-crappy-spinoff ones) are the best ones. But do you ever realize some of the weird trends that go along with the games?

EXAMPLE 1: There have been THREE games for each console. I-III were on the NES, IV-VI were on the SNES, VII-IX were on the PS1, and X-XII (not including X-2 which was HORRIBLE) were on the PS2. Now XIII-XV (???) will be on the PS3, which SUCKS, because I’m not shelling out zillions of dollars for one of those beasts.

EXAMPLE 2: In each group of four games, the last one has ALWAYS been the best in my opinion. This is usually because it’s the last game of the decade. Let’s see…

FINAL FANTASY IV (1991) Not at the end of the decade, but close enough. This one was obviously better than its predecessors, because it was for the SNES.

FINAL FANTASY VIII (1999) I really do think that this one is better than VII. The graphics, storyline and flow are all there. Besides, Squall > Cloud any day.

FINAL FANTASY XII (2006) Considering XIII isn’t coming out until 2009/2010, this is the last game of this decade. And I must say, it’s ten times better than XI and X combined. It’s new, it’s fresh, and come on… after almost eleven games of turn-based battle, isn’t it time for something new? I like.

EXAMPLE 3: Whenever Square has nothing better to do, they re-release a version of their games for the next-gen system. I mean, the Final Fantasy III and IV remakes for DS were a pleasant surprise, but come on. We REALLY don’t need a remake if it’s not going to be different. FFI for PSP = major disappointment. I was looking forward to seeing 3D Chaos kick the crap out of my characters.

Anyway, that’s enough for today. See you on the flipside.

    ~Will
